Centre Stage Safety was founded on a simple belief: that safety works best when it's built into the way an organisation operates, not bolted on as an afterthought, and certainly not delivered as a pile of paperwork nobody reads.
I'm Kevin Irvine, and Centre Stage Safety is my business. I started it because I kept seeing the same pattern: organisations that genuinely wanted to do the right thing, but were either overwhelmed by compliance, sold generic solutions that didn't fit how they actually worked, or simply didn't know where to start.
My background is a little different from most H&S consultants. I spent twenty years working in theatres, schools, colleges, universities, nightclubs, outdoor events, exhibitions, retail units, industrial settings, call centres and offices - environments where safety isn't theoretical, it's immediate. That variety shapes how I work. When I walk into your workplace, I've almost certainly encountered something like it before.
More recently I spent eight years as a health and safety lead within BT's estate in the North West - working across multiple sites, teams and disciplines. It taught me that good safety management isn't about generating documents. It's about building a culture where people actually understand the risks and know what to do about them.
